Membership and Volunteering
Truchas Chapter is a 500+ member chapter of Trout Unlimted based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We welcome new members who are interested in protecting the fisheries of our northern New Mexico area, supporting local youth outreach, and connecting with like-minded neighbors. Member benefits include TU's award-winning Trout magazine (published quarterly) and their annual full-color calendar in addition to receiving the Truchas Chapter newsletter, and invitations to local activities.
Become a Chapter member
There are two routes to join Truchas Chapter:
Become a new member of Trout Unlimited and designate Truchas Chapter # 718 as your affiliation. Do this online with a special introductory rate at the Join Chapter page. For a special mail-in membership application which will designate Truchas Chapter as your affiliation, please contact the Membership Chairman.
If you are already a Trout Unlimited member but would like to change your affiliation to Truchas Chapter # 718, you will need to contact Trout Unlimited (national). This is most easily done via the TU website Ask Trout Unlimited page. Search keywords "chapter assignment" for complete instructions.
Volunteering
Truchas Chapter believes that many hands make light work, and even if you have just a little time there is a place for you to be involved.

Whether you have special skills in computing, writing, fund-raising, could attend a public meeting, teach a youth class, get dirty for a streamside workday, or just have a willingness to help out where and when you can--please consider giving some of your time. The Chapter receives tax credit and other considerations for volunteer hours expended, so your time may be more valuable to us than even your financial contributions. Please contact any Board member if you can volunteer.
